I first ordered an 3870 because of all the high reviews for image quality it has. Put her in and I get shimmering objects, especially on water. Any ideas?

no good. The 8800gt w/nHancer still has better quality and the shimmering is still there. Any other ideas?

Are you using Ray Adams' Tray Tools utility? If so post your settings here and I'll have a look.

I tried ATI Tray Tools but couldn't get it to work because Vista wouldn't accept a non-signed driver. Will Ray Adams' Tray Tools work with Vista64 and is that the same thing as ATI Tray Tools?As far as settings go I set all the settings in the catalist program from ATI to max quality. In fsx I have it at 1240x1024 trilinear filtering. If I have aa checked then the quality improves quite a bit.Any ideas?

ATI use the Catalyst Control Centre (CCC) but Ray's utility is far better.What are your AA and AF settings? Do you have the single or X2 card?

I have a single 3870 and thanks for the reply, I got ATI Tray tools to work using that post. The image quality has improved and is now very close to the 8800gt using 8x box aa and 16x af.
