3DMark Vantage Benchmarks

Featured Replies

I just downloaded and installed the latest benchmark from FutureMark (http://www.futuremark.com/). It was released today. This one tests DX10 so it only works with Vista. My benchmark using the Nvidia 174.74 beta drivers is 8516 which is the highest so far for comparible systems (only 7 tested so far). Feel pretty good having the highest but I'm confident it won't last long. In fact, as I write this, it is probably being beaten. Wonder if any other flight simmers have tried out this new benchmark yet. Fantastic graphics including some planes flying around pylons in the Grand Canyon!JimMy system specs:Dell XPS720H2C / Intel DuoCore2 Extreme X6800 (OC to 3.73GHz) / 4GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667 MHz / Dual 768MB Nvidia 8800GTX's in SLI mode / SATA2 500GB HD in RAID 0 Config / Dell 3007WFP 30 inch LCD Monitor / Soundblaster X-FI Sound Card / Nvidia 680i SLI Motherboard / 1KW PSU/ Vista 32 OS

5040 3DMarks. :-shy Even with Aero off and virus software disabled.Oh well, when I eventually get two 8800s and better drivers come out, I'll do a lot better!Still a while away though...

Update: Installed the new Nvidia 175.12 beta video card drivers and 3dMark Vantage benchmark fell slightly from 8516 to 8455. I heard the beta's were "conveniently" released on the day 3dMark Vantage was released and thought maybe the benchmark would increase but it seems to have no affect. Also checked FSX DX10 preview to see if the new beta's fixed the flashing runway textures and they did not.Jim
