Benefits of 64 bit OS and >4G RAM + 1G HD4870

Using FEX high res (4096) 32 bit clouds, UTX for Europe, and VeniceX scenery add-on by Aerosoft, I was using 3.8G RAM on approach to Venice....When I only have 4G RAM installed the FSX OOMs at 3.5GUnder Vista32 it OOMs at 2.4G (as only 3 is seen), and the HD4870 is taking RAM address away from system ram.With 6G RAM, I was able to ride it out and used 3.8G at one time, and this is without counting the 1G of videoram on my HD4870.Locking the fan speed at 35% was quiet with temps maintained at 56 degrees C full activity, 44C at rest.Scecnery maxed, autogen very dense, AI 33% (UTrafficX)Just a heads up supporting the benefits of more than 4G RAM and an OS 64 (Vista64 in my case).So if you want to use these high RAM videocards you really should also invest in more RAM and a 64 OSI am very pleased with the setup Ive been able to get.E6600quad6G RAMVista64HD4870 1GXiFi gamer
