Flying for $40 an hour.I am a law student who currently flies about 2-3 times a week out of BED, Bedford, Massacusetts, while living in Boston. I am an instrument rated pilot with approx 200 hours, who flies Warriors, 172's, Arrows, a Cherokee Six, and a new 182S. I am building time toward the commercial, and as many will know, flying alone sometimes gets a little mundane. Now I will qualify this by saying that flying never gets mundane like some things in life, but relative to say aerobatic training, it gets a little mundane. Anyway, I currently fly with a number of people who act as my safety pilot, or vice versa, in order to cut the cost of flying from $80-130 an hour for the plane, to $40-65. If anyone is interested in flying to places like the Vineyard, Nantucket, Burlington, VT, Bangor, ME, CT, NY, etc, I would be more than happy to pick them up on the way, if your locale is near the route that is convenient for both of us. I am very safety conscious, but love the fun of flying, and I am very serious about becoming a CFII, and MEI, b/c I love to teach, help people, and fly.Anyway, I have found that sim pilots, whether they are also real pilots, or not, have even a greater love for flying in some cases, b/c we are amazed at how 2k2 emulates real flying so closely now. Bottom line, if anyone is interested in splitting time in the greater Boston area, let me know. That includes Boston area, Cape area, ME, NH, etc., sim pilots who would like to simply go for a ride. I file IFR flight plans 60% of the time, even in VFR, so it's great experience in the system for anyone. Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested. As I said, I can pick you up at your locale, and then we can be on our way, or we can meet at a mutually beneficial airport, or you can come out to Hanscomb Field, Bedford, MA (KBED).Happy Flying, Christopher BraunP4 1.8768 ram 80 gig hardriveVisiontek Ti4 4600CH yoke/pedalsElite Multi-quadrant19" inch monitor-Soundblaster PCI 512Win XPInstrument rated ASEL -195 hoursAOPALawyerPilots Bar Association"Men without dreams are never free, twas thus this way and thus will ever be."

Hi Chris,I don

Sweet, Looking forward to it JP. Let me know! Also, I am going to be in the L.A. and San Diego area in the first to second week in March. I'll shoot you an email closer to the date to see if you will be around. Never been out there. Where are you based? Are you checked out in pistons anywhere? Wouldn't mind seeing the mountain ranges that I see on the King videos (when I am trying to avoid looking at or listening to Martha) :) After living in NY for 4 years, I'm told that L.A. is NY with outdoor recreation. Looking forward to it. CB

Chris,I live about 2 miles from KMPV (EF Knapp State Airport, Berlin VT) if you are gonna be up this way let me know and I'll go for a ride. I'm not a pilot but I can keep an eye out for traffic. Also you wouldn't happen to be related to any of the Braun's from the Barre VT area would you??Brian
