March 14, 200521 yr I understand how and why it is beneficial to FS9 performance to convert your 32bit textures to DXT3.My question is however:Should I convert ALL my 32bit textures in an aircraft to get the maximum performance gain? I obviously convert my outside textures (fuselage, etc), but should I convert panels, etc, if they are also 32bit? Will I see any extra performance gain? Thanks in anticipationMalcolm
March 14, 200521 yr I would suggest converting the main exterior textures.. not sure what you mean by panels. I wouldn't have though you'd get much gain.. you could of course always try and see the effect (remember to back up textures first) :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
March 16, 200521 yr I've got a few planes that had 32 bit textures for the VC which I converted to dxt3 and saw a great increas in the speed of texture loading when switching to the VC with almost no loss of visual quality...
