Obviously I'm new at this task and I'm finding it it challagening. I'm trying to put an airline name on the side of a fuselage while letting the texture colors show through around the lettering. I tried setting the text layer to 60% opacity but that lets the colors bleed through everything. I'm using PSPro 8 to do my editing with. Any sugjestions?

Try changing the layer to multipy.Dan.

Hi Dan, Sorry it took so long to respond to your suggestion, had a hot water pipe break in the kitchen ceilling and have been kinda focused on that. I tried you suggestion and didn't see any results. I'm trying to put some text that I created on to a plane but I also get a box around the text. If I try to create and format the text right on the plane I can't format it the way I want. Looks like I need to do some more studying of Paint Shop Pro. Thanks for your help tho.

Are you taking the text from a picture or image (not using the text tool)? If so then it is likely you will have a white box around the text, this is the background layer from when you made it.Have you still got the file with the text you created on? If you've saved it as a psd and did it correctly, the simpliest method be to drag off that layer and onto your paint scheme psd. If not then it still should be workable as 100% white goes transparent when the layer mode is set to multiply (as previously said). Is this of any help: Click

otherwise try the magic wand tool and select and delete away the areas you do not want.

Hey Thanks guys, I was tangled up on my layers and when I got that straigtened out the multiply works for me. I did create the text in PSP and did have the white background and like you said it disappears. I still have to try the majic wand though. Thanks again.
