Getting started with painting(NOT repainting) my aircraft - need help!

Featured Replies

Hi Guys.I'm searching for a good and complete tutorial on how to paint my Gmax built Aircraft from scratch. I've already found some tutorials and played around but none worked for me so far as i'm a complete beginner in painting aircraft. As i mentioned in the Headline i'm NOT looking for REPAINT Tutorials but for some advise on how to start from from scratch, for e.g. how to seperate parts in Gmax exporting them to Paint Shop and getting them ready to paint there. I've already seen the "linklist" in an earlier post but that didn't include the information on how to "start from the beginning".Any help or advise would be greatly apprechiated !Kind regards, Michael.

In order to produce the textures it is wiser than you export wireframes from gmax, and then you can continue testing them on the plane.

Thanks to you both for your answers!First, the site on how to texture in Gmax is a good hint, but for me as a "dummy" i need to go from scratch. It shows the already done texture and how to position it correctly on the model in Gmax. I'm not prepared for that [email protected] do i export the wireframes correctly out of Gmax into PaintShop.I played around with that already, but almost never got the right size of the shapes. Any hints digging a little deeper into that or a mini tutorial of a pro would be nice. Thanks again, Michael.
