July 11, 200520 yr the links that are in the sticky pin seem to be quite old and i wonder if there are now easier methods. I have fsrepaint and all i want to do is make a texture for my own airline in fspassengers. I really need very basic walkthrough and all tuturials i find seem to be very complicated. Can i not just use fsrepaint to create a new livery, why do i need all the PSP etc?
July 11, 200520 yr You can always make the paint scheme in FSRepaint, the problem being is that it won't .. look that good. It'd look like it had been done in MS Paint. Thats why alot of people use the big applications like PSP or PS. I believe in the FSRepaint docs have guidelines on how to use FSRepaint, unfortunately I can't help you as I have no knowledge using it.If you want to maybe create repaints to share with community I'd advise getting into PSP or PS.. there are a few tutorials on my site (needs more doing to it) that could be of use. :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
July 11, 200520 yr what a great response, thanks ever so much for your note - much appreciated. Well i guess i will try to get into PSP then, and with the link to your tutorials i am sure that i will be able to get basics done. how easy is it really? on average how long will it take to create a new livery?
July 11, 200520 yr Depending on the size of the aircraft and how much detail you want to put in.. ranging from a few hours to a few days. :)It may be a bit daunting at first but once you get the hang of things its pretty easy knowing what to do.My latest paint scheme, for Miltons D18, probably altogther took about a day.. but there was alot of "photoshopping" work required as well as alot of fiddling!Feel free to post again here or email if you need any help :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
