FAA GA Font?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where I can get a freeware font suitable for use on GA aircraft (i.e FAA approved). It's similiar to helvetica, but the numbers have "clipped corners". Any help is appreciated- Thanks. John B.

Would you have an image of the font you want?

in response to above, yes I do but I'm having trouble getting it uploaded. Every time I try and post it, I'm getting a message that I am not logged in as a registered user, but obviously I am since I was able to post this. I will continue to try and get it posted. In the meantime, thanks foryr response. - John B.

I just had an alterntative idea, since I'm having posting difficulties. If it's not to inconvienant, you can see a sample of the font at Airliners.net. Just type in N686TA in the search field and a beechjet 400A with this font should come up. Thanks again- John B.

The only font I can see on the images is the reg, which I believe to be "Amarillo" but skewd (italics). Was this the font you were looking for?

Thanks, I just did a google search for "Amarillo" and it seems to be what I'm looking for, and yes, I'm only using it for reg. No's on GA planes. Thanks a bunch for your help. - John B.

No problem, always glad to help :)
