Corel Paint Shop Pro 9 or 10 (x)

Featured Replies

I am currently using JASC Paint Shop Pro 8 for aircraft texture editing and creating. It is the only program of its kind I have ever used for this application, but nonetheless I find it very good. I have an opportunity to buy either Corel Paint Shop Pro 9 or Paint Shop Pro X (version 10 I think) for a very low price. Just wondered if it is worth me moving from Paint Shop Pro 8 to either of these two versions, and if so which one.Any thoughts on either of these? Which one is better and why? Thanks in advance,Scratch1964

You can trial Paint Shop Pro X at the Corel site:http://www.corel.co.ukI prefer the Photoshop series myself but I'd go for the latest (10) purely because it was the most up to date (if the price difference wasn't too much). Test out X and see if you like it..

PSP 8.0 is the first version I've deleted upon receipt of the next version.I still have PSP7 installed (for some simple things it's easier) PSP8 was a good "Photoshoppy" upgrade, but as far as I was concerned, a slow dog the way it ran.PSP 9 was better and X, again. If you have the chance, go straight to PSPX. (Yes, I deleted PSP9, since X was reasonably better).Photoshop is, of course, the graphics industry standard, but having been a PSP user since V.1.0, I'm sort of used to it.Felix/FFDSPegasus Aviation Design
