February 2, 200620 yr Hi folks!I want to repaint the stock King Air 350 in FS2004 with an airline livery. Unfortunately there is only one fuselage texture, which will be applied to both sides of the aircraft. Hence the airline name is read in the wrong direction (right to left) on one side of the aircraft.I conjecture that texture assignments to specific parts of the aircraft are done within the .mdl-file.Therefore I ask you about a possibility to edit the MDL-file (or convert it to FS Design Studio format). Thanks for your help in advance.PS: Just changing the texture names in the .mdl-file using a hex editor did not work. It changes all textures at once.
February 2, 200620 yr Unfortunately you're not going to be able to edit the mdl file. The mdl file is locked in the sense it can not be edited without the original source file. There have been several attempts at creating a tool to convert it back into an editable source file but they have been stopped due to the possibility of stealing others work. The only way you're going to be able to do what you want is to try and find another similar aircraft (with good texture mapping). ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
