Dash 8-100 Paint Kit?

Featured Replies

Hello, everyone,Working on my first repaint and was wondering if there's a paint kit/blank textures for the FS2004 default DeHaviland Dash 8-100?Any help would be great.

As found, this is a pretty comprehensive list of default paint kits:http://www.simviation.com/fs_paintkits1.htmHowever it doesn't include the default Dash 8 for some reason. The default aircraft suffer from a lot of shared mapping which can make it pretty irritating trying to paint it. Theres the Dreamwings Dash 8 (http://www.dreamwingsdesign.com) that is considered pretty good and comes with a paint kit.

:) Thanks for the help.I did see the default paint kits (and downloaded some of them). Thanks again.

One more thing: the Flight Simulator allows you to change the tail number of your plane to whatever you want. Now, when I'm repainting, do I need to leave the tail number blank in order to be able to do this, or what must I do?

By leaving it blank your plane won't have a call sign so you don't want that :)For default aircraft, you can either accept the font used and just change the reg in flight sim. Or I believe there is a way to make the text invisible but it may remove the text from all the aircraft.. can't quite remember.. was a long time ago! :)If you remove the reg and paint it on then it'll likely to be mirrored one side due to the texture sharing, so your best bet would just be to use the default method of showing the reg.
