November 27, 200619 yr Ime getting used to painting again since FSX came out. I havent really done any good repaints. So can anyone give me some tips on how to make higher quality textures?
November 27, 200619 yr Its difficult to give a general tip for better repaints.. however..Work on the details as much as the overall paint scheme, they really do add to the character.Include weathering, even if very light. You'll never see a totally clean paint scheme, however be careful not to over do it. A good idea is to start off by setting the opacity of the layer to 0 and work up. This way you can see the difference between having it and not having it.. deactivate and reactive the layer for the same effect.Make sure to work from a real picture, even if its just for reference. Try getting some photoreal in though.. it looks much better. If not working in photoreal, look at images and see what makes them look "real". For example, usually the fuselage is not 100% white.. more of an off white light cream colour.Any specific areas you were thinking of...? :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
