Windows in Dreamwings Dash-8

Featured Replies

I'm a brand new - and only very occasional - repainter. I've had some success after reading everything I could get my eyeballs on, but I'm stumped on this one.I thought I'd have a go at the Dreamwings Dash-8. The thing that has me stumped is that the fuselage texture has no windows in it, yet they show up anyway in FS9. Other textures I've fooled around with have the windows as part of the textures, and if you painted over them they'd disappear. What's the deal with this one?

I noticed those too, but they're more of a "window tint". If you paint over or even remove them (paint over w/background), the holes in the fuselage remain. The three examples in the screenshot above are various degrees of a lowered window shade. If you paint over them the paint is barely discernable. I guess they're part of the model, not the texture. No cargo conversion for this one :).

"I guess they're part of the model, not the texture. No cargo conversion for this one ."That conclusion is correct I am afraid.Leen de Jager
