importing a picture for use as a tailfin logo

Featured Replies

Im just doing my first ever repaint following the tutorial from calclassic.com, the only differance being is Im using Photoshop pro as opposed to paintshop pro (because I havent got it) what Im trying to find out is how to to use a picture I already have as a Tailfin logo, can someone please tell me or point me in the direction of a tutorial of how to import such a picture as a T/Fin logo, thank you for any help you can offer me.

Hey :)If you head over to my website (link above my signature), go to the "Tutorials" section then go to "The Complete Repaint Walkthrough". This is tutorial from start to finish on how to do a repaint from start to finish.. using Photoshop :)I'm working on the final bits actually now so should have the tutorial totally finished in the next week or so.I plan on redoing the "The beginnings" section as it's not the most friendly method, but other than that.. :)To answer your actual question..Open the tail image up in Photoshop (File - Open)Now open the repaint psd you're working on.Have both files side by side in Photoshop. Select the "Move Tool", keyboard shortcut VClick on your tail image file, now click again and hold.Simply drag the image over to your repaint psd.If you have any more problems or questions feel free to post in this forum, theres always some one about to help :)

. . . and if you want the vert-stab detail to show through the pasted image, make it a Multiply Layer.
