Changing tail numbers

Featured Replies

Greetings:I bought Flying Club X because it contained all of the planes that I flew when getting my pilot's license. I really like the package overall.I want to change the tail number on a couple of the planes. I've searched for posts on just changing tail numbers, but have come up empty, although there are a lot of great references on complicated re-paints.Any advice or links would be greatly appreciated.BTW, in Flying Club X, the font used for the stock tail numbers is exactly the same as the one used on the real plane that I flew. I'd like to copy that same font, but I'm concerned about getting it "right" using a freehand approach. I have both PSP and PhotoShop CS3 available.Thanks,-zelmo-

There are a couple of ways you can go about this. You could convert the bmp back to Photoshop use (if it isn't already usable). Remove the original reg using a combination of tools and placing bits from the original paint kit. Then you could use the text tool to place the new reg, from what I can see the texture is either arial or amarillo. This can get a little complicated..ORYou could use the original paint scheme as a "trace" layer and copy the scheme again..effectively making a new repaint, then put a different reg on.
