October 13, 200718 yr Hello everyone,Currently I am working on a one-off repaint for the Lear 45. Since I am building my own replica Lear45 cockpit, it would be nice to be able to use a livery that is a bit closer to home.I created a non Existant KLM "executive" livery, but I have some problems with textures "repeating" itself. In the attached Pictures you can see the dark blue bar being replicated a little lower than the original one, and also I cannot get the KLM/NorthWest Logo to appear correctly on the left side of the body. The right side of the body is OK. Furthermore there are som small issues that I can live with for now.Since this painting is not something I will be doing a lot, I use only freeware(demo version of FSRepaint, and Dxtbmp)and Paint Shop Pro for my livery. Can anybody help me with these problems, give me a couple of pointers or perhaps someone is willing to rework the entire livery for me?Thanks in advance,Jaap BothNetherlands
October 14, 200718 yr The default models are notoriously difficult to repaint. As you've discovered they're full of mapping problems including shared areas. You probably won't get around the logo being mirrored on one side. THe problem with the window..is that area part of the fuselage? If it is you may be able to cut in to it to try and make it look a little better. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
October 14, 200718 yr Hmmm, difficult indeed. And that on my first one...The logo that gives the difficulty is the one with the red circle, the other one is ok.I think the problem with the window comes from the green circled area. It is an emergency exit, that only appears on the right side of the plane. Do you think there is a solution for any of these problems, or would the only way to get it right involve making a whole new Lear from scratch. That would be totally out of my league....Anyway thanks so far.. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/178887.jpg
