Converting transparent textures to reflective

Featured Replies

I am trying to convert an older plane for FSX that has the MDL set for transparent surfaces and I have been trying to convert it to reflective surfaces. I have used MDLC and the plane is reflective now, but ALL the surfaces are reflective, even textures in the alpha layer that aren't suppose to be. The spinning prop is now a solid surface instead of semi-transparent. So I am guessing MDLC changes everything in the MDL file to reflective? Is there another way to do this or anyway to fix the prop or modify the MDL so the prop displays correctly?

Please tell me wich plane you`re talking about.Where can I find it, I`ll give it a try.Personally I think it cannot be done this way. With the tool we only can make general changes. In other words when we skip or alter a function , this goes for all parts of the plane.Leen de Jager
