Rivets on a template question

I use them both.I use remove white when I want to have a transparent file with only panel lines and shading on it. I do this so that I can then make this file look 'fuzzy' and then add it as another layer. Doing this gives the impression of weathering.I use the layer 'multiply' function for everything else.There is also a file called 'remove black'. Same as white....well, you get the idea.
