August 30, 200421 yr Hi. I'm not actually a developer but I do panel work and I've been frusterated by the lack of a peice of avionics that is extremely common in the real world. I am refering to the KLN-90 gps. Now, I know Ick Slack has created a kln-90 gauge but its not complete. all it does is readout the gps data and act as a panel icon which opens the default gps through the go2 button for data entry. what I would love to see is a stand alone KLN-90 that would actually be the default gps repackaged in a KLN-90 bitmap. I know such programing can be done as the default gps was already made to look like an apollo MX-20. How hard would it be to do the same thing but make it resemble the KLN-90??? And, furthermore, why had nobody done this yet??? It so common in the real world, why has no one done this yet???
August 30, 200421 yr Sure, it can be done! Many of the XML routines in the FS9GPS.cab could be used. It is a matter of designing the panel plate. It would be nice to have the associated MFP associated with the KLN94.Most of the real C172SPs, I fly, have both installed. It is just a lot of work getting it done.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
