Hi everyone,I have some ideas for a site I think a lot of simmers would enjoy and benefit from. I've benefited much from the work of others in this community and would like to give my ideas a try and see if anyone else can have fun with them, too.I want to build a website with some particular automated functions. At the guts of this, as I see it, is a database that accepts user inputs via the website and the freeware FSACARS program. My only web-building experience is with very, very basic stuff. I can work out all the math I want to do with excel spreadsheets, so I figure it could be made to work with some sort of slick php-sql arrangement.I'm not looking for someone to do this all for me, although I'll certainly take all the help I can get! I did a four-credit C++ course in college, along with some incidental programming exposure in mathematics programs like MatLab and Maple, and a ton of Excel. I think, with some help, I can get my brain around this. What I would like, at a minimum, is someone to help walk me through the process of setting things like this up. Would someone like to coach me through a project like this? I'm willing to learn how to do the grunt work myself, but I think this will be a whole lot easier if I have a friend to help me sift through the mountains of tutorials and information out there.
