when dl'ing addons, does it really make a difference which you have? reason being i'm getting the dash 7 and it says it was made for pro, but i have standard. so, will it still work to its full capacity?

The only problem you will have is missing gauges, mainly for turboprops including the throttle control. You could try substituting gauges.
