"And it blows too!" LOL

Recommended Posts

Here's one of the many pictures making the rounds on the net after the reviews of the GF-FX yesterday:http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e36ab4e3373bef3.jpg:-lol :-lol :-lolAnd to bring you even more mirth on this fine tuesday, here's a comparison that struck me yesterday:---I thought the excruciating high pitch whine of the GF-FX rang a bell!Listen to this MP3:http://www.arocsd.org/Chauffe2.mp3(warning: turn down your volume - this is recorded VERY LOUD)Then compare it to the GF-FX running 3dMark for a second and quitting back to the desktop:http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/200301...x-3dmark-hq.mp3The first is the sound of a "10-cylinder, 750 horsepower Asiatech F1 engine being warmed up. Then it performs a rousing version of When The Saints Come Marching In"!Actually, I think the high pitched, annoying whine of the GF-FX is *worse* than the F1 warming up... Not to mention it makes better music! **shudder**---Indeed, there's no need for aircraft designers to include custom wav files in FS anymore - just turn off your speakers and you're all set. Finally, something comes along that makes an FS developers work *easier* for once! Thanks NV! :-sun1Elrond

I have NEVER laughed so hard over what's on this thread. Oh lawd......LOLOLOOLOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL---------------------->I surely pity nVidia. A great company..that gives great support..and they just dropped an elephant on the foot of their marketshare for high-end and current!Really...I do feel for them. They're a great company as is ATI.ATI...if you blow this...you deserve to be second place....as of which time, you are NOT! You---certainly are not....You have my purchase.Mitch R.

I have to also second the statement about "laughing so hard". I have gotten alot of good chuckles out of this thread also. It's amazing that nVidia has spent over $100,000,000 (That's ONE HUNDRED MILLION BUCKS!) on the development of the FX... I guess there's not going to be so many chuckles at nVidia corporate for many moons to come.I am going to be building a new rig in a few weeks and this was the last straw that broke the camels back for me on my choice for my video card - An ATI 9700 Pro will be sitting in my new AGP port soon me thinks.I have also gotten alot out of the posts from ATI users in this forum as well that was giving me second thoughts about going with an nVidia based card. Thanks guys!
