Antialiasing in FS2002

Featured Replies

Hi,It's just a question : do you turn antialiasing ON in FS2002 ?If you turn it on, is it from the 3D parameters of your graphic card or from FS2002 display parameters ?If you turn antialiasing OFF, could you tell me why ?Best regards,Damien BRUNET.e-mail : [email protected] Forum Francophone de FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2002is French - FS2002 forum- FSFRANCE website forum- FRP - France Project website forum- FS2002 "chat"and exclusive FS2002 files for members ...http://www.forum-fs2002.fr.st/The registration is FREE ;-)

Damien,I use a Geforce 2 MX video card with 32 mb of ram, and in my case I only had to go to the 3D display parameters of FS2002 to turn antialiasing on or off.If you run a modest system like mine (AMD 850, 256MB RAM), turning antialiasing off does translate into a significant gain in framerates (3-5 fps). On the other hand, if you have a more powerful system or graphics card, you can probably afford to leave antialiasing on - the graphics do look a bit better that way (no jagged lines)Regards,Daniel Muehlebach, CYCW (Chilliwack, BC, Canada

ATI Radeon 9700 Pro on an Epox 8KHA+ moboard.I set FSAA to always on at 4x from the card's control panel. In FS2002 I leave the the anti-alias checkbox UNchecked. This produces the desired FSAA in my case.--Dave
