INIT right-click tweaks not saved

Recommended Posts

Guest Mister Binz

Hello everyone,Right-clicking on the INIT button on the FMGC leads to a tweaks series of pages, where we can set some things up.The problem is, the modified values won't load up the next time FS is started, and these seem to be stored in the APtuning.dat but this file doesn't seem to be read on startup.Any idea to get these modifications permanent ?Thanks,Christian

It does an odd thing. When you change the data by right-clicking the INIT page (be careful with what you change because it might cause terrible problems)it DOES save the data to the flight simulator 9PSSA3XXAPTuning.dat file when you exit the simulator or change aircraft. But when you reload the aircraft next time the original settings are shown in the MCDU even though the APTuning file is still showing the changed data at this point. If you don't change anything and exit the simulator or change aircraft the data in the APTuning file goes back to the default. So you can't take a backup of the changed data and re-load it. It's a bit odd.I doubt PSS will give you chapter and verse on this as it is an undocumented and unsupported feature.
