Framerate hit without autopilot

Recommended Posts

Guest dogdog1985

During final approach to YMML, A333 catched the LOC/GS, and the framerate is about 14~15, quite good. So I disengage the Autopilot at 1000fts (usually action for commercial pilot), and the framerate dropped to 7~8fps, can't manual landing well. What 's the problem??Don't blame my computer's spec, as the framerate before I disengaged the Autopilot was good. During cruising, it had more than 20FPS

are you sure the issue was the autopilot disconnect? at ~1000' you are close to when FS will begin putting in the airport/ground/AI detail.try an approach w/full autoland to see if there is a difference.for others to try and duplicate your challenge -* are you using default FS YMML or a addon YMML afcad?* how much AI traffic do you have loaded on your system besides default? what airlines and what AI traffic setting were you using?* what was the weather? what settings do you have for weather? are you using an addon weather program? are you using stock clouds or one of the available mods?* what was is your scenery detail? autogen? etc...need all the above for others to make a 'similar' comparision.--

Original Default YMML 2. No AI traffic, no aircraft in the airport, as I was playing IVAO3. Activesky with online upgrade off below 12000ft4. Sparse texture, scenery, everything is kept as left as possible, stock clouds

Try it also without Activesky, althugh I have never found it to have a hit on frame rates but it could be something in your suppression options. I have VOZ for Australialn scenery so can't accurately reproduce this but I guess given the proximity you are to the airport when this happens that the loading of the airport detail and/or activesky that is causing this."playing IVAO" - playing? This is no game :)Rob Elliott, EGPE InvernessPSS Airbus Support andAirbus Fleet Training Captain, British Airways Virtual airbus@speedbirdonline.co.ukhttp://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/airbus.htmlhttp://www.bavirtual.co.uk
