FS2002 on the Mac not dead yet

Featured Replies

http://www.destineerstudios.com/That is the company which bought the rights to port the game to the Mac. It was announced well over a year ago, and there has been absolutely NO word on it's progress. (I personally think it hasn't even been started yet.)But, if you read on the bottom of their website page, FS2002 is STILL listed as one of the Microsoft products which they will be producing. This is at least good news for a Mac version. (It will probably be out when FS2004 for the PC comes out, I bet... if ever at all.)Still, Destineer just recently acquired MacSoft from Infogrames. MacSoft is the biggest publisher of Mac games, and has some very profitable titles in it's lineup, as well as some soon to be released titles which should be quite profitable (Unreal II, Unreal Tournament 2003).If Destineer can reap some good cash from this deal (all indications say they will), they may be able to step up production of FS2002 for the Mac.Why is this important to me? I've been using Macs since 1989 and own quite a number of them, my PC was built simply for gaming and game content creation. I just would REALLY like to be able to have FS2002 running on my Mac portable. :-)

This is great news. I'be been considering buying a mac for quite a while now. However I have held off simply because I couldn't give up Flight Simulator as it is my main hobby. If it does come to the mac, I would seriously consider buying one!Rojan
