February 9, 200323 yr I have recently been unable to access and download "REAL WEATHER" within MSFS2K. I think I may have accidently deleted one or more files that control this feature.I do not want to re-install the program from CDROM as I have too many add-ons and modifications installed over the past year and a half that I don't want to lose.QUESTION: Does anyone know the NAME OF THE FILE or FILES that control the downloading of real weather? Also, INTO WHICH FOLDER(S)do these files belong? My hope is to get this information and try to extract the pertinent file(s) from the CDROM and paste them into the appropriate spots on my hard drive. I hope someone out there can help me with this! Thanks in advance.Mike (USN)
February 10, 200323 yr Rename your fs2002.cfg to fs2002.cfg.OLD. Restart fs2002, let it stabilize, try to download weather. If it works, your set. If not, check to see if you have changed your settings for your ISP long-on.If you use Internet Explorer, right click the IE Icon, select properties, select Connections tab, if you use dial-up, make sure you don't have "Never dial a connection" selected.
