Berlin Airlift Rules Clarification

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,A Berlin Airlift Rules Clarification. The flight period is 1700-2000Z. Flights completed by 2000Z count toward the bonus. Teams may then (at 2000Z) depart for the RTW portion of the Race. (But no sooner than 2000Z.)However, as an option, at 2000Z teams may delay their RTW portion and wait for incoming flights that are already in the air. If they do so, they count those flights in the total. For example, at 2000Z a team might have 6 incoming flights (worth a 1 hour bonus) still in the air. They might well wait for those planes to land. The teams may not depart until after their planes have landed and been authenticated and they declare their Berlin Airlift totals.Best,Mike (and everyone)
