Recommended Posts

Listen to Team AVSIM Unicom Channel Here.******************For anyone just interested in listening, we have set up an audio streaming server for the public area of our Teamspeak server. To connect your media player to listen in on the TEAM AVSIM Unicom ChannelBe advised the stream isn't exactly live. There is anywhere between a few seconds to a minute or two lag between actual transmissions and the stream. Also be advised the stream was very quickly set up and the software and hardware may be somewhat unpredictable in terms of connection reliability and voice quality.WINDOWS MEDIA.1. Open Windows Media Player2. Go to the File Menu and select OPEN URL3. In the box that enters type in "http://team-avsim.irchaven.org:8000"4. Click OpenWINAMPThe channel should be listed under the TALK Genre in your shoutcast radio directory. Search for AVSIM. If it does not1. Click the PLUS (+) button at the bottom of your playlist and select URL.2. Enter "http://team-avsim.irchaven.org:8000" into the box and press open.3. Double click the entry on your playlist.OTHERSShould be as easy as adding a URL or a HTTP location to play. If you have issues feel free to PM me and I'll help you out.***********************FOLLOW RACE IN GOOGLE EARTH***********************1. Install Google Earth2. Click http://www.flyingscool.com/files/FSX/RTW_2007.kmz3. Save the file to your desktop - be sure to change the filename from RTW_2007.zip to RTW_2007.kmz before you hit save.4. Double-Click on the file RTW_2007.kmzI don't know why Windows wants to save it with a zip extension instead of the kmz extension (it is a zip file, but why change the extension?).Anyway, after you double click the file on your desktop, Google Earth should start and it should load up into Google Earth in to your "Temporary Places". You can right click on the RTW_2007 and select "Add to My Places" to save it permenantly. You can click on the "+" sign to the left of RTW_2007 to expand it to see the three teams and turn them on and off individually, or click on the check mark next to RTW_2007 to turn the whole thing off.To zoom in on a team, expand RTW_2007, and click on the team you want to zoom in on.I don't know how to tell who has the baton.Let me know if you have any problems.Thomas***********Additional Info***************We are running both TeamSpeak and Multi-Player on a personal computer. So the address is not being broadcast here.To gain access, PM Gazer75 and he will grant you access.Or PM me and I'll get in touch with Gazer. You are warmly invited--this is merely a mater of personal computer security.Mike MacKuen
