February 14, 200323 yr The latest release of CoF videos show some very interesting features. I'm particularly fascincated by the Cub video and how they got the scud clouds to hug the mountain ravines. For people that live in a mountainous region, you'll see some weather very simular to real life.I do have a question about something I saw in the DC-3 video. Do the gear on the real DC-3 retract simulanteously or independently? I'm not a DC-3 expert, but I thought the main gear operated independently of each other. This is a straight-forward question about the DC-3 itself, not the video. So please don't take this as criticism about the alpha version of CoF or what is displayed in the video.Bruce
February 14, 200323 yr I believe they retract assymetrically. It might be an easy "adjustment" to the aircraft.cfg file to change it though.Dave

February 17, 200323 yr Bruce,It depends on the hydraulic system in the DC-3 that is installed. I see a lot of DC-3's whereby the gear drops and retracts simultaneously. N763A is an example of this, our own DC-3.Regards.. TrevVisit "The DC-3 Hangar"http://www.douglasdc3.com
February 17, 200323 yr Of those videos, the one showing the Jenny flying through the open barn doors is the best! When you download the file (flightsim.com) and watch it, keep your eyes open for the half dozen chickens scattering out of the way as the Jenny goes through the barn itself!Bear!
