Ahh, the benefits of a good nights sleep! I woke up with a start and remembered that I HAD done something with my system after all. I had installed a small program that enables the choice of VSync Auto/On/Off, Number of frames to render ahead and the choice of overclocking the graphics card (GForce 3 Ti200). I had set this to VSync Off, render 1 frame ahead and had done a small overclock. I immediately jump out of bed, booted the comp and reset all these things to their default values.
