February 18, 200323 yr I was going through and cleaning up what loads when I log on, trying to get the system to do as little as possible when it loads so its screaming fast, going through all of these items I found one called "cftmon.exe" go to the directory that it is in, C:>Windows>System32>cftmon.exe, I disabled from loading and so far I have not noticed any problems, but I would like to know what it does, does anyone know??
February 18, 200323 yr Try right clicking on the file, select properties, then read the information by clicking on each of the lines in the box on the bottom. It may give you a clue who provided the file. I don't have such a file on my WinXP Pro. Bill Sieffert
