DC 9 Simulator

Recommended Posts

Hi all .. Last night I got to go to flight safety and fly in the full motion , completely accurate cockpit dc 9 ... Trust me, if you ever get the chance ...do it! It was so real , I got dizzy a couple times ...but the good news is ... with all the fs2002 flying ..I was able to take off , fly the pattern and make a nearly perfect ILS approach and landing ... the instructor said that if you can fly and land the sim, you can definately do the real thing ... so, naturally , i've been patting myself on the back! I'll post some pictures as soon as I figure out if i'm aloud to in this forum!

Sounds like a lot of fun. Do they have other cockpits?

Many years ago I spent a Sunday afternoon playing in the VC-10 simulator at RAF Brize Norton. I had no flightsim experience as the humble ZX81 hadn't even been invented then. It was, however, a memorable experience. I crashed!Gavin

Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

That sounds neat! How do you get into the simulators and allowed to fly them? What series DC-9 was it and how different is it to the MD-80/90 series to fly?
