Recommended Posts

I was wondering if somebody knows if it exist au good 172 panel where we can find an effective "carb heat" knob ? I tried any default cessna and I found no carb heat knob for all the cessnas, I can't beleave it ! Is it possible a thing as basic as possible were not implemented in fs2k2 ? Most 172 in school in Canada airport have carb heat... We are a new group of 20 students and we wish to use fs2k2 in complement to our cours.

The New Cessna's are fuel injected.Back in the days of FS2000 I flew a Cessna 3rd party a/c that had carb heat. I know that there was an update for 2002 but I could never get it to work.Since I sold my 172, and bought a Piper Warrior, I bought the Dreamfleet Archer and that's all I fly. Details for exactly what that other plane was and where I got it excape me.Darryl

Hi.There is a very good 172 / 1976, VC and 2D. Search for Billy Bishop, C GCTJ, 172N and see if you can find it. If not post here and I will try to give you more info. I am in the process of getting a 182 RG /GMAX no fancy panels but it has the CH, Cowl flaps, Fuel valve, all the instruments in very good resolution VC, but it is not likely that I will upload it. Let me know if you need more info. TV

I love the Flight1 Piper Archer 11 which has 'carb heat'. Alas FS2k2 seems to have an error in that it drops the revs by too much (400 rpm instead of say 50 rpm) when operated. Anyone know if there is a .cfg setting that would allow this to be changed? I fear not otherwise the beautifully made Archer would have had this correctly set.DaveT
