Which KittyHawk Aircraft.cfg?

Hello and for one more time a big well done and a THANK you for one of the best Freeware models ever seen ;)My question has to do with the Aircraft.cfg to be used along with the KittyHawk model. I am sure you have all noticed that the behaviour of the aircraft is different when the original cfg is used and different when the cfg that comes with the panel is used. As I am not a real life pilot I was wondering if anybody here can give us an indication as to which of the two behaviours is closer to reality?In case that the original cfg is more realistic, are there any implications for the panel if we use this? And if yes, are there any "merge" guidelines?Thanks in advance for the great supportRegardsYiannisp.s To make my question a little bit more clear I assume that in anycase I use the TinMouse air file.

You need to use the aircraft.cfg that comes with the TinMouse II...there are a number of panel interdependencies, as well as FDE interdependencies.I don't know what purpose a merge with a config file based on a different .air file would serve...RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

Hi and thank you for the quick answer...The only reason I brought this into your attention is because of the different flying charactersitcs that the model demonstrates with the original cfg file due to weight/balance distribution(?), contact points etc. I though that IF these characteristics are "more close to reality" then "electrical/bus/hydraulic" parameters necessary for your panel could be merged so that the panel would still work correctly but the aircraft would fly as it is intended to(?)Thanks in advance anywayKind RegardsYiannis

The contact points (and lights) are in fact already merged in the KittyHawk specific aircraft.cfg file supplied with the TinMouse II panel. These and a few other parameters are characteristics of the model in use.The performance of the airplane is not tied to the model, and we have put a great deal of effort into making the panel/aircraft combination perform as close as possible to reality. Use of the original KittyHawk FDE with this panel will produce significant mismatches in performance due to thrust curves, lift/drag curves etc which are also panel specific.So, bottom line, it's highly discouraged. But it won't hurt our feelings if you want to try.
