February 24, 200323 yr What the heck is goin on? Every time I try to land any of my "heavy" a/c, the dang thing always takes a little skip-bounce on touchdown with the main landing gear. I used to be able to "stick" my landings most of the time.I've tried many different settings - diff. fuel loads, diff. descent rates - I landed once with a VSI reading of less than 100fpm, but I keep bouncing onto the runway, before it finally settles down.Anyone else got the "bouncies"????any clue?MouseIs there any way to "alter" the weight of the a/c in the fs2002.cfg file to possible eliminate this situation?
February 25, 200323 yr Author Full flaps, speed will vari but try 130 knots for kicks. Do not raise the NOSE above 5 degress upon T/D. Cut throttles at 50' and don't worry about the VSI in a "Heavy". Look at the VASI or if equiped, use the Glide slope. Aim for a point on the runway and shoot for it.Best Wishes,Randy J.
