New DirectX driver (Version 10/06)

Featured Replies

Hi,I got regularly blue screens or reboot actions after 5 to 10 min. running FSX. After installing the newest version of the DirectX driver (October 06) FSX seems to run. I could fly for about 2 hours in different areas with the standard display options. It would be interesting to see, if other users have similar experience.Erhard

I installed the Oct DX9 driver update and have had no problems. If you set up a restore point prior to installation, I would suggest restoring your system before the time you installed the DX9 update. BSOD's come with error messages and you need to write down the error message and then I suggest you Google it and see if there's a fix. You might be able to view the error msg by going to the Event Viewer and review what the error was on the date/time of the BSOD. Otherwise you'll have to wait for another crash. BSOD's should be not be taken lightly as it indicates something potentially serious is happening to your hardware or system. Hope this helps.Best regards,Jim
