I think I might have found a solution for the many crash to desktops that I have been having. Not sure if this will help everybody, but it seems to have helped me. I found this trying to figure out a problem with another game, and applied the same technique to FSX and it seems to work. Thanks for posting this! This helped me out with my CTD. I was occasionally getting Out of memory crashes with FSX in Vista and this seemed to do the trick! Nice find! :-)

This "solution" was posted several weeks ago on the FSX Forum and it solved my OOM problems too (See "Possible Solution for OOM problem in Vista" http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...pics&forum=102). It works for XP systems too.Jim
