I was reading a bit more in the forums and found a possible reason for my CTDs.If I disable FSUIPC by removing/relocating the file FSUIPC4.dll, I no longer get the CTD or FSX minimizing as soon as FSX free flight starts. As soon as I move that file back to the Modules folder, FSX has issues. I have no idea why disabling FSUIPC fixes my problem, but I'll try to investigate more.I did delete the FSX/Modules folder, then re-install and re-register FSUIPC. I have a bit of work to do, again, to assign buttons, switches and controllers. Richard

No determination yet why FSUIPC caused FSX to minimize. I guess I'll call that issue resolved.I deleted the logbook.bin file in hopes that would help. It did not. Not long after that I received an API.dll crash.As someone here once wrote, "FSX is just like real flying. Five hours of maintenance for every hour in the air". Richard
