Well I went down to Circuit City today and bought my Radeon 9700 Pro and well.............OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This card is great! I can now run FS2002 Pro in 1600x1200x32 with 4xFSAA and 16xAA and maintain a SOLID 26 FPS!!!!!!The picture quality has to be 10x better then my GF3 TI500..easy. In fact I can raise the FSAA up to 6x and only lose about 1-2 FPS it is great!!!And to top it all off, my installation of this cards was A LOT smoother then my GF3 TI500 installation! Boy was I WRONG about the "new" ATI!!! *removes foot from mouth*Now onto upgrading the mobo and processor :-lolThanks again guys for helping me out in my other thread I posted a few days ago...it was a great help!!! Thanks for "convincing" me to get this card!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)Shane

Good to hear. I remember last September when I was ready to order my new rig and I had a really hard time deciding whether to go with the Ti4600 or the brand new 9700 Pro. I decided to chance it and am I glad I did. Even in the early days after the card was first released and many were having painful experiences, my rig was trouble free. FS2k2 has been a whole new experience. It's amazing and the default terrain is gorgeous when you can see all it has to offer. A suggestion: If you're running 1280x1024, go with 6xAA & 16xAF Performance with max quality textures and high quality mipmaps. If you run 16x12x32 stay with 4xAA with other settings the same as above. After much experimenting, I've found these settings to work the best for me.

shane can you please post your system specs? thanks

It's the dogs proverbs innit.

These are high end cards. Didn't realize the demand was so great. Check out ATI's One Million Units sold announcement: http://mirror.ati.com/companyinfo/press/2003/4609.html PS: What's a "dog's proverbs innit.?? I'm easily confused. :-hah

The dog's proverbials. The benchmark. The best. The bees knees (stupid saying) etc
