March 16, 200719 yr Does anyone know why FS9 would suddenly start making the MS default "bonk" sound whenver I now press a key? It just started doing this and I can't find any setting where it would be adjusted or stopped. Everything works ok, it's just maddening to get the defIn Control Panel==>Sounds and Audio Devices==>Sounds the file is called "Windows XP Ding.wav", and is set to play under "Default Beep. Thanks in advance to the group!Chuck B. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. March 16, 200719 yr Author At the risk of earning the scorn of other members, I think I will answer my own post as I think I've eliminated the problem.I uninstalled my TrackIR software, the demo version of WideView (which conflicted with each other on my system due to the message kill functionality available in WideView) and the demo version of the FS SmartView software. All are fine packages and I mean no denigration of any, but I guess I just had too many 'view enhancing' programs running at once. Thanks to all who viewed my post in an attempt to help.Chuck B.
