Does anybody know why there are no 1000 ft. marker signs on the runways in fs9. Are there any addons for them.

First, should they be 1000 ft signs or 500 meter signs? (JK - but feet vs meters is an issue in everything done in FS).The FS data format which has grown to/ through FS2004 would make adding those as "Common Objects" difficult.Especially with the runway texture tied to the code the way it is now.I'm sure that type object could be defined and placed like Taxiway Signs by a geographic coordinate (though that would have to be in FSX for better compatability and ease of creation).I doubt they could be tied to the runway and automatic and change when someone changes the runway location or length. That would take a lot of changes in the code.Actually, you've got me thinking - we might could make usable substitutes in FSX and FS2004 by adapting the Taxiway Signs.
