Engine Sounds

Featured Replies

I am having problems with Engine sounds in FS9. When engines start up there is no sound, when I check the settings, Sounds, the tick box is ticked and the slider is fully up but the area behind the engine sounds tickbox is white, all the other sound boxes are blue.Any ideas what this meansThis only seems to happen with PMDG addon aircraftThanksMick

There are two possibilities:1. Have a look in the sound folder within the offending aircraft folder. It should contain quite some .wav files and a sound.cfg file.2. The sound is aliased to the sound folder of another aircraft which in your case does not exist in your aircraft folder. In this case you should have:Sound/sound.cfg/ and the contents of the sound.cfg should then be e.g.:[fltsim]alias=Airbus A-318 Easy JetsoundThe aircraft in the "alias" line must exist within your aircraft folder and must have a sound folder as in 1 above. If not then edit this line to point to any existing aircraft with such a sound folder and then save the file.Good luck.Hans
