April 19, 200719 yr I installed some of the World of AI aircraft, and now, for some reason, there are always two planes flying next to each other, with the same call sign, everything from a Cessna 172 to a 747. It's like FS is controlling AI aircraft, and World of AI is controlling another set of the same aircraft! This gets really annoying when ATC is talking to the, cause they call both of the aircraft (even though they have the same call sign). This can get real aggravating when trying to get takeoff clearance as well as landing clearance, b/c ATC has "twice" the amount of traffic it normally would, since it is talking to the "same" plane twice!Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there any way to fix it?Another question about AI aircraft I have is....why do they never show up whey replaying a recorded flight, or when simply reviewing a replay?Thanks!- Jason
April 19, 200719 yr why do they never show up whey replaying a recorded flight, or when simply reviewing a replay?Because MS built FS that way. AI are controlled by the aircraft flight dynamics and their positions is not recorded in the detail of the user aircraft. I've heard, but cannot verify, that it would take a lot of processor power to keep that data for AI for replays.Power you need elsewhere. Now to your other issue - you have duplicate traffic files if you have identical aircraft with flight numbers and call signs flying in tandum. You need to check to make sure you don't have two copies of the same traffic file in an active scenery folder. The default location in FS2004 for AI traffic files is SceneryWorldScenery - but they can be in any scenery folder. Some addon scenery reinstalls the MS default AI in the folders of the addon scenery.
