Can I lower AI display radius from 108nm?

Featured Replies

Hi all,the question is in the header... Can I decrease the radius in which AI is rendered so as to increase CPU resources and framerates? My understanding is the default is 108nm which is rather big if you're in a small country (like England) or an airport dense region (like SoCal). Anyone?Cheers and best wishes,Tosh:-wave

No you cannot change it.There are many areas where it is smaller than 108nm. National borders can be one limit, for some reason west coast airport with very high mountains to the east seem to be limited in that direction. But basically, you are stuck with that setup because when high flying AI aircraft are generated closer to their destination airport, they can be forced to descent as steeply as 7-10,000 FPM to meet their waypoint altitudes.
