Misbehaving 50North 737s - can you help?

Featured Replies

Simmer friends,I've been struggling for a long time to get the 50North planes flying realistically. Would any of you have tweaked aircraft.cfgs that you would not mind sharing...please :)My 50North 737s (the -300,-400, -500):-Have the roll-rate of an F16-Accelerate to 250kts during takeoff roll in 5 seconds-can climb vertically at 40,000FPM-refuse to slow down even on idle thrust (maintains 220kts, idle thrust, level attitude)I have checked the engine-thrust levels in the .cfg and theres nothing out of the ordinary. I would be grateful for any help if you have managed to get your 50North planes flying nicely.Thanx :)

I'm no expert (ala Ron Freimuth et al) but I've had some success lately with tweaking cfg and air files. It's a new aspect of the hobby that I'm enjoying. I have the basic data on hand for the 737 and I'd be happy to take a peak at this particular version (I don't have the 50North, but do have the PMDG). Send me a private message here at avsim and I'll give you an email address to send over the cfg and air files and I'll have a go! Mike

Thanks mate! Sorry I didnt reply earlier I've been busy tweaking the thing and learning a lot about aircraft.cfgs. As far as I can tell this product uses the default 737 .cfg which is why many people were not too happy when it first came out! But the default 737 does not behave like a Sukhoi SU-27! I wll tweak a little more and if Im unable to fix it I will let you know.Appreciate the reply :)
