iFly 747-400 Operating Steps

Recommended Posts

iFly 747 Operating StepsThe iFly 747-400 is a magnificent airplane and it is completely free. I have now flown it on several long trips, and it performs flawlessly. PMDG beware! Here are a few steps you should perform to have a successful flight. These are not in the checklists.1. Use a 747 fuel planner to determine Gross Weight, Fuel to Load and ZFW. An excellent one is available on AVSIM.2. Change the Airplane Payload to match your desires. 50,000 to 120,000 pounds works.3. Distribute the fuel evenly among the Wing Tanks. Do not use the Center Tanks unless the Wing Tanks lack capacity.4. Follow precisely the checklists provided in the operating manual with the exception of the item in 7 below.5. After takeoff, open all the fuel crossover valves and make sure the fuel override pumps are on.6. You must align the 3 IRS (Inertial Navigation System) systems as indicated on the checklist. a. But after turning the switches to NAV, you must then go to the FMC initialization page and enter the plane

3 More iFly items to note:1. I could not get VNAV to work. Control lateral speed with the Speed Function and vertical speed with the VS function.2. LNAV works perfectly.3. The 3 computer controlled self-landing works perfectly.JPL>iFly 747 Operating Steps>>The iFly 747-400 is a magnificent airplane and it is>completely free.
