Kai Tak runway lights showing.

Featured Replies

My laptop FS9 default Kai Tak has just started showing runway lights at dusk. I was SO surprised to see them that I had to double check that it was KT I was about to land at!! I'd like to add them to my desktop FS9 & suppose that pasting the KT file will do the trick. Question: where are the airport files kept? I assume they're in Addon Scenery/scenery but I'm not sure so I'd be grateful for someone to confirm where airport files are kept. Thanks, TW

The default VHHX airports has no runway lights, no lighting of any kind.It is located in the file ??:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9SceneryAsiasceneryAP978240.BGLCheck to see if you have an addon AFCAD file in the Addon Sceneryscenery folder - that could add lights.

Runway lighting is contained in the AFCAD2 file (for the most part)May I suggest using Jim Vile's kaitak98.zip scenery here at avsim. And yes, it includes the checkerboard.
