Help getting started with AI

Featured Replies

Hello all, I have a question about getting started with the whole AI world. To a new guy it is confusing. Is there any current text I can read up on or any files I can download to start flying with AI around me.I would like to know some of the basics of adding AI aircraft.I am using FS2004.ANY help would be great!!!Thanks,Matt

download traffic tools (TTools) by lee swordy.the program will allow you to compile AI traffic.the user manual will describe how FS9 AI works and how to program AI flights.there is the traffic tools forum here at avsim - http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=126--

Hi Matt, There are a couple of different ways of setting up your AI traffic. You can either;Purchase a commercial package such as Traffic2005 or others, install the program and have AI throughout the world or.....go to sites such as World of AI and ProjectAI, spend some time downloading airlines which you want, use their installers, and have AI throughout the world. I went the latter route not too long ago myself and am pleased with the results. I am not a fanatic for accurate schedules, etc. and this worked very well for me. The good thing about the installers for World of AI and ProjectAI is that they do all the hard work for you. I belive ProjectAI has detailed tutorials describing how to manually set up AI if you want to go that route.Good Luck,Dave
